ESPN starts daily web-only newscast...sounds familiar
I caught at the end of SportsCenter's 30,000th broadcast on Sunday night that the network was launching a new web-only video newscast, giving users a minute-long streaming presentation of the day's events, scores and storylines. (I haven't been able to find it since then.) I guess great minds think alike.

I just came across this entry in your old blog while searching for something unrelated. In a comment, you say that you had no idea that the F world existed as “far back in American history” as World War II. It would be unfortunate to let such a misconception remain on such a high-pageranked page for longer than it has, but that blog doesn’t allow anonymous comments.
The fact of the matter is that the word in question has been in the language far longer than the United States has existed. The word is attested from 1503, and there is at least one earlier apparent reference. Read more at Etymonline.
