Damn you, VH1
One of the downsides of living on Guam is the caveat that 40% of the world doesn't know we exist, and of those that do, 80% don't know we're a United States territory. Add VH1 to that list. I was trying to check out some videos on VSpot, but I got slapped with a nasty error message saying "Music videos are accessible in the U.S. only. Man, that sucks - especially because they've got such an expansive archive of music.
At least the non-videos work.

Jas, whenever I come across a website that doesn't realize that Guam actually is a part of the US, I see it as an opportunity to enlighten someone about our status. It's a good time ;-) And sometimes they actually update their site accordingly.

Yep. There's an unwritten code of ethics used by us the media that we can playfully rip each other as a means of ensuring quality control. :-)

Jason,
Yes, the correct answer is to get those websites to realize that Guam is a US Territory. However, have you tried going through a proxy server in CONUS? I am curious to know if that works. I guess I could set up a SSL tunnel on one of my servers for you to use. Email if your interested.

Hi Chaim,
Thanks for the offer...they'll probably get around to it at some point, and I don't normally hea dover there to watch music videos that much anyway. Thanks for the offer though.
